Description: This advanced workshop builds on foundational Cricut and heat press skills by introducing participants to sublimation printing. Educators will learn how to use sublimation technology in combination with a heat press to create high-quality, full-color, permanent designs on a variety of products. Participants will explore how sublimation can enhance Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways such as marketing, entrepreneurship, and design, while also providing meaningful creative outlets for gifted and talented students. The session will highlight real-world applications, including product creation, branding, and school-based enterprises.
Workshop Objectives:
By the end of this session, participants will:
- Understand the basic principles of sublimation printing and how it differs from vinyl applications.
- Learn how to design and prepare images for sublimation using appropriate software and materials.
- Explore project ideas that align with CTE pathways such as business, marketing, and digital design.
- Identify ways sublimation printing can support student entrepreneurship and school fundraising initiatives.
