Description: AI is not magic. It is not going to replace great teachers. But in the hands of a great teacher who knows how to use it, it is the most powerful tool the profession has ever seen — and this workshop is about putting it in those hands.
This full-day workshop follows the complete arc of a teacher's work — from the moment you open a pacing guide in the fall to the moment you submit final grades in the spring. Every module is built around the same central truth: you bring the idea, AI brings the capacity. You are still the expert. You are still the architect. AI is the drafting table.
The morning begins before the bell even rings — exploring how AI can turn a standards document into a unit plan, generate differentiated materials for every learner level, and produce a week of bell ringers before your coffee gets cold. We then move into the classroom itself, looking at how AI can make content come alive through original music generated on the spot, images created from a text description, and tools that automate the tasks that have always eaten your time.
After lunch we tackle assessment and feedback — generating rubrics, producing tiered feedback at multiple performance levels, and building self-grading systems, alongside an honest conversation about data privacy. The afternoon closes with the administrative work nobody became a teacher to do: emails, recommendation letters, meeting summaries, and everything else that quietly consumes evenings and weekends.
Throughout the day, participants work with real content from their own classrooms. Nobody practices on a hypothetical. Everyone leaves with actual materials they made, actual prompts that worked, and one very important thing they are going to try the following Monday.
