Description: This half-day session introduces the final set of NIST 800-53B control families required for Act 504 compliance in the 2026–27 school year. We’ll walk through the Phase 3 administrative controls — CA, MA, MP, PE, PM, PS, RA, and SR — and explain their purpose, scope, and relevance within a K-12 cybersecurity program. The focus is on understanding what each control family covers, how they complete the full set of 20 Act 504 control families, and what districts should prepare for as they move into future implementation phases. This session is designed to build familiarity and confidence with the requirements before the hands-on, practical implementation trainings offered throughout the year.
