Description: This workshop will provide educators with practical knowledge on how to use a Cricut and heat press (including the hat attachment) and integrate them into their curriculum. Participants will explore how Cricut and heat press technology can be used to engage gifted and talented students in creative problem-solving, support marketing and entrepreneurship in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, and even serve as a tool for school fundraising.
Workshop Objectives: By the end of this session, participants will:
- Understand the basic functions and features of a Cricut cutting machine and heat press.
- Explore project ideas that align with CTE, entrepreneurship, and student engagement.
- Discover how to incorporate these tools into a school makerspace.
- Identify opportunities for fundraising and community engagement through student-created products.
- Gain hands-on experience designing and creating a simple project using a Cricut and heat press.
